Record all your toddler’s milestones, triumphs and rib-tickling moments with a dedicated journal
Remember all those baby milestones? Get ready for even bigger adventures with your toddler!
Your baby book is full of beautiful little moments. Maybe you’ve added photos, a lock of hair, your little one’s growth and sweet moments like the first time they smiled at you, when they sat up and first foods they tried.
Then your baby turns 1 and *poof* no more baby books. But the fun has only just begun!
You’re the proud owner of a toddler and life just got a little more crazy.
Toddlers are life-loving, excitable fire-crackers who never stop learning!
I remember when my little girl turned one, all of a sudden she was walking, she finally got the hang of biting bits of food off and she understood soooo much. She was even doing baby sign language for quite a few words!
The toddler milestones just kept coming. That along with her hilarious little personality shining through I was left thinking…
I should be writing this down
Toddlerhood is full of leaps in development. Frustration turns to triumph as they learn to express themselves. Scraped knees and bumped heads as they learn to navigate the world around them. All of a sudden they have favourites, preferences and down right hates!
Thinking about the toddler years, specifically from their 1st to their 4th birthdays, so much happens at what feels like the speed of light. Walking, talking, toilet training, starting day care, riding a bike, making friends, holidays, first sleepovers at grandparents, possibly a new sibling…
With all these new memories pouring in, I wanted to keep track of it all. I wanted to savour these moments and remember them forever.
Especially with the arrival of my second baby, Dear Toddler allowed me to focus on my little girl’s development every week and celebrate her triumphs.
Dear Toddler will keep all those precious, hilarious, gut-wrenchingly cute memories safe for years to come
I’ve been adding photos some weeks to the Dear Toddler journal, as well as getting Jessica to draw her own little doodles (which are usually pictures of Daddy… no offense taken).
It’s funny to see how her favourites have changed over the weeks and months. Even film preferences, we used to have to watch Moana on repeat for days on end. Now it’s Paw Patrol, Minions and Frozen 🙃
I personally have hugely benefitted from the ‘Times we laughed’ section every week. Life with a toddler can be seriously hard work. At times it feels thankless and unrelenting. But filling out the times we’ve had a good chuckle together reminds me that it’s not all bad and she doesn’t think I’m horrid for making her wear the wrong pyjamas…
I’m fascinated to see how my little man’s book will turn out, to see if they have similarities at the same ages or if they’re wildly different.
I mean, truthfully, I’m looking forward to embarrassing them when they’re older by reading excerpts of the ridiculous things they did and said.
What toddler-tastic antics will your journal hold?
